Five years ago I bought a little Aussie Teardrop trailer and travelled the east coast of Australia exhibiting at caravan and camping shows with a range of kitchenware I called at the time ‘Roaming Cooking’. I have since sold that business and started another, this one, Just Smart Kitchenware. This year I was planning on spending 6 months in the UK exhibiting at motorhome and caravan shows. I was there from mid Feb and attended the big Motorhome & Caravan show in Birmingham, doing research and preparing for the 6 months ahead – and then Covid hit. Mid March I was back home in Australia.

My original plan was to continue exhibiting at caravan shows in Australia when I returned from Europe in September (I was planning to go to the massive caravan show in Germany too). I haven’t exhibited at the shows in Australia for a few years and am ready to launch some new good quality collapsible kitchenware. I am based in South Australia and over the past few months, as everywhere, the shows were being cancelled – except some regional shows in Queensland! So what did I do? I bought a little caravan of course so I could travel and attend them 😊

So meet my new little van! It is three years old and is called a Euro Sunseeker (now known as a Euro Hobby). I love it! After living in the Teardrop for a year, I feel so spoilt having a little kitchenette (including a fridge!) and being able to stand in it and have room to change – oh the luxury. It also has a little porta potty so I don’t need to tramp to the toilet block in the middle of the night! I drove from SA to Queensland last week and picked it up from the previous owners in Maroochydore a few days ago. I then decided to stay in the caravan park in Maroochydore for a week so I could get used to it, so haven’t really driven anywhere with it yet.
The next stop is the Fraser Coast Expo at Maryborough Showgrounds from 14th – 16th August where I will be exhibiting my new (not yet released) kitchenware. Then I will head up to the Rockhampton show from 21 – 23rd August. If you are thinking of attending either of these events, the organisers have given me a unique discount code ‘JSKITCHEN’ you can use to receive 30% of the entry fee (tickets to the shows need to be bought online due to covid. See Fraser Coast Show link & Rockhampton Show Link and don’t forget to use your code!).
I turned 50 earlier in the year and what better way to spend part of my 50th year than travelling around in my little van working on the business which I love doing, using my kitchenware and testing new samples so I can bring only the best & most practical, space-saving kitchenware to you 😊
Follow me on social media (links at bottom) or sign up to my newsletter if you would like to be kept in the loop when new products are released, special offers, where I’ll be exhibiting next and recipes! If you would like to become a brand advocate and receive discounted products in exchange for promotion please get in touch. And please come and say hi if you end up attending one of the shows. I would love to meet you.
Happy & safe travels.
Jacquie

I bought some of your ice cube trays a few years ago and wondered where you got to. So glad you’re back. Hope all goes well.
Hi Gwen, oh thank you very much for your comment and for continuing to follow along 🙂 I’m not sure where you are based but perhaps I’ll see you at a show again one day? Please come and say hi 🙂
